Dra Andrea Barragan
Professional experience
Dr. Andrea Barragan earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Universidad Santo Tomas De Aquino, located in Bogota, Colombia. She also holds a master’s degree and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Albizu University. Before that, Dr. Barragan completed a master’s degree in Human Resources Development and Administration. She worked for child welfare organizations and the non-profit sector to provide direct services, administration, and program development to prevent child abuse and neglect or provide interventions to families or individuals affected by substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental health issues. Dr. Barragan began working with individuals convicted of sexual crimes in 2013 at her first practicum placement and became employed by this treatment program in 2015. Dr. Barragan is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Throughout the years, Dr. Barragan has also centered her work on evaluating and treating children and youth who display sexually inappropriate behaviors and families impacted by sexual abuse.
